Dongsoo Kim is the Executive Director of Korea Productivity Center (KPC), a government agency under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE) in South Korea. With his extensive experience in sustainability, he is an expert in sustainability assessment & ratings, research, and the development of sustainability guidelines, standards, and policies. Dongsoo’s work in this field has enabled many multinational companies, as well as public institutions, to innovate their sustainable management practices, and implement strategies to enhance their performance.
In addition to spearheading the sustainability management arm at KPC, Dongsoo leads the Sustainable Management Center at MOTIE, is Director-General of the CSR Center at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and a founding member of the Council on Economic Policies. In the business sphere, he has established sustainability ventures that leverage data analytics technology. In 2020, Dongsoo also organized an ESG Forum, which is expected to expand globally.
He was born and raised in South Korea, educated in the USA, and holds an MA from the Graduate School of Business at Seoul National University. Dongsoo currently resides in Seoul and is an avid cyclist and kayaker.
