AccountAbility is pleased to announce that Dr. Natasha M. Matic, Chief Strategy Officer, King Khalid Foundation (KKF), Saudi Arabia and USA, has been appointed to the AccountAbility AA1000 Standards Board. Dr. Matic currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at the KKF in Saudi Arabia working between Washington, DC and Riyadh on developing strategy, management structures, partnerships and investment opportunities for the foundation. During the past decade, Dr. Matic led strategic transformation of KKF into a leading Saudi foundation, which played a key role towards building the Saudi economy.

Dr. Matic is a strategist whose career, for the past twenty-five years, has been dedicated to building sustainable and scalable initiatives to alleviate poverty and promote social and economic development. She has lived and worked in a number of countries and pioneered innovative programs in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Zimbabwe, Bosnia, Serbia, Germany, USA and other countries. In addition to her strategy work, Dr. Matic leads the design of various initiatives focusing on nonprofit/foundation management, entrepreneurship, social investment and sustainability. She also championed alliances and strategic partnerships with the World Economic Forum (WEF), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Columbia Business School, STC, Acumen Fund, UN Global Compact (UNGC), Civil20 and a number of other organizations.
Dr. Matic holds a Ph.D. in International Economic and Political Studies from Boston University and a Certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School. She was selected as a Fellow at the United Nations University’s International Leadership Academy in 1997.
