Dongsoo Kim is Director of the ESG Research Institute at Kim & Chang, South Korea’s premier law firm. An expert in sustainability, his work in this field has helped numerous multinational corporations, public organizations, and the Korean government innovate their sustainability policies, strategies, and performance.
Dongsoo is also a board member at the Council on Economic Policies, an adjunc tprofessor at Hanyang University, and an expert advisor on the Private-Public Joint ESG Policy Council established by the Korean government. Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Dongsoo led the ESG Research Institute and the Sustainable Management Division at KPC, a Korean government agency under the Ministry ofTrade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE). He was also Secretary-General of theSustainability Center at MOTIE, Secretary of the CSR Center at the Ministry ofSMEs & Startups, and an ESG advisor on the 20th Presidential Transition Committee.
With his extensive experience in the public and private sectors, Dongsoo is often invited to speak at ESG events and share his insights in the media. Dongsoo was born in South Korea, studied inthe US, and holds a doctorate in management engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
